The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and can close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house by using a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all nsfas login South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
